Inspired by the Surf Coast, many artists are relocating along this coast line, and participate in the annual Artist’s Trail to get known locally and nationally.
Already an international landmark for surfing, there are many people interested in participating in other leisure or competitive sports in this area. For example cycling, trail running, and stand-up paddle boarding are finding their way into large scale events along the Great Ocean Road. Long weekends and school holidays attract vast numbers of fans to these national events.

Register your Business
Log onto the website – Great Ocean Road Locals
Click on the ‘Sign In’ button on the top right hand of the screen, and follow the screen prompts. (You will be provided with your own dashboard, through which you add/edit your listings.)
Add your Business Listing
Click on the ‘Add Listing’ button on the top right hand of the screen.
Select the Pricing Plan – we recommend the Annual Plan as the best option. It has the advantage of providing all functionality to you and is a discounted rate from the Monthly Plan.
Follow the prompts to add your business description, images and contact details. Social platforms and website can be included too. (Images should be sized as 800×600 pixels for best upload and not more than 150KB each). If you need help with uploading images, please email them through to us and we can assist at any time.
Submit your listing.
Your listing will be sent through to our administrator who will approve it, and ensure it is uploaded to our website. You’ll receive a confirmation email once it’s accepted and your listing is live.
Updating your Business Listing
You can keep your listing updated with new images and edit the business description whenever you need to.
Log onto the website – Great Ocean Road Locals
Sign In – click on your name and you will be presented with your dashboard.
Select ‘Listings’ to update your current listing. You can update your business description, the images, contact details and social platforms. You’ll be able to see how many views you have, plus respond to anyone who has made contact with you.
‘Reviews’ enables you to see your customer feedback.
There are also many other opportunities for you to advertise your business to residents, holiday home owners and visitors to the area, other than our Great Ocean Road Business Directory. There is a Torquay Business and Commerce Association, Geelong Chamber of Commerce, and further support groups for women in this region who are starting a new business and require assistance. The Great Ocean Road Locals Business Directory was born when we tried to find local businesses to work on our Torquay-based property, but there was no easy-to-use online directory to achieve this. So we set out to create one to make it convenient and quick for businesses to be found online; and for residents, holiday home owners and visitors to connect with local business owners.
Who we are
We have a closed Facebook group, to connect like-minded entrepreneurs and business owners who will encourage and inspire one another in a supportive environment.
